Catch Up with Albert and Elvis

Hey Everyone! It's been awhile but after a sweet alumni mention over at the IBKC for their annual fundraiser, I thought I could spend a few minutes and give an update on this furry duo.

Bubbas

Both of the boys are doing well and enjoying the Texas heat...even Elvis who seems get furrier every day. His fluff is no joke and I've half a mind to enter him into some kind of cat modeling school so he can earn his keep.

Elvis right before the cat beard competition.

Elvis is special in so many ways...loves his mama(except at pill time), hugs my legs with his front paws every morning before I leave for work, enjoys random bursts of energy that propel him through the house at warp speed, and he prefers to spend his nights sitting on my chest so he can watch me sleeping.  His health problems haven't gone away though we're managing really well on a daily dose of new meds. We found a great internal specialist here in Austin and while there is still no real diagnosis, we haven't had a flare-up in over 8 months. Bubba's a trooper.

Elvis and his Calvin Klein ad.
And this guy...the squirrely cat in the photo below...this guy is certifiable. Albert talks. A LOT. I don't need an alarm clock because this one is up with the roosters, chirping and talking and making general chit-chat with inanimate objects around the house. "Why hello Mr. Chair!" "And good day to you Lady Flip-flop!" "Buenos Dias Banana!"

Albert wears his crazy-pants every day.
Albert's animated though he wears a perpetual frown. Not because he's actually unhappy but because his mama made him that way. He's sweet and adventurous and loves to run up and down the stairs.  Even though he's smaller than his bro, he likes to throw his weight around and can be a bit of a bully. I get it. He was the runt of the litter so his Napoleon Complex is totally understandable.

Albert refusing to sit anywhere else. Stubborn.
While he and Elvis don't always see eye to eye, they love each other as often as they fight.

Elvis and Albert
Thank you for all of the well wishes and know that they are reciprocated to each of you. Because they love y'all so much, here are a few more photos...

I didn't know you had moved to Texas until the IBKC update yesterday. Glad you made the move OK and that the boys are doing well (God bless A/C). I don't know what part of town you are in, but my vet at the Cat Hospital of Austin is also a kitty chiropractor. I love them over there.

Welcome to town, hope all is going well!!

Thank you for sharing the wonderful photos of Albert and Elvis. They are both really beautiful kitties. We loved the photo of them eating together with their tails crossed. They must be the best together. Have a wonderful week.
