Don't let the innocent fur face fool you. This one is Evil. I heard the kitty yodeling and felt the head-butting and still I stayed in bed this morning. I just wanted five more minutes of sleep. I didn't realize my cat thought he was starving to death. All of a sudden I hear a splash and the unmistakable sound of the cat food bowl being turned over. The following pictures are not photoshopped. My cat is a magician.

How do you do this? The water bowl was completely empty and balanced ON TOP of the food bowl sitting UNDER the food mat. WHAT?
Also, notice THERE IS FOOD IN THE BOWL. What does this cat want from me?

The glare is due to the water drenching my kitchen floor.

And of course, there is the drowned, water puffed cat food getting soggier by the second. Might I add that I only had one paper towel left. I just love cleaning water off of the dirty kitchen floor with my bath towel.

Such dexterity, your cat has! lol.. Looks like he evidently had a hissy fit and is tired of the kibble? have to admit that innocent face got me... Don't feel bad, my cat would do the same... btw, last time I saw my small area rug turned like that, she was hiding her toy mice there. She's like a dog burying its bone.
Oh my, Albert - a tad impatient perhaps!? :)
But seriously, how in the world did he do that? He must have opposable thumbs hiding somewhere. Or maybe Elvis helped.
Perhaps the bowls needed cleaning? Or the water was not freash. OR you changed the type of noms. Or you were just a lazy human who needed reminding that the boys needed play time and cuddles
Oh, Cori. I'm sorry. I can't see past the first picture -- he just looks so kissable!!!
Oh, we have been there! I don't care what kind of bowl you have - cats somehow manage to dump the water out and make gross soggy food in the process. Now, as far as the feat they performed with the placement - that is some crazy cat talent I have n't seen before. If it wasn't such a mess it would be extremely impressive!
Obviously Albert is innocent as can be and you did something to provoke this behavior...with a face like his there is no jury that would convict him...are you sure it wasn't sweet Elvis?
On the other hand, maybe Albert was trying to point out you needed more paper towels.
You are quite lucky. It could have been a lot work. My first kitten boy, Remus nearly knocked the fridge down. I caught it just in time. He was mad at me for hanging a picture in his favorite spot. Albert is quite talented. :D
Albert is indeed very talented... snicker snicker... oops better not snicker too much or it will bite me in the butt ;)
To all cat and pet lovers,
I am writing on behalf of the ELmsford Animal Shelter in New York. We are the largest no kill facility in the area, home to some
1000 animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters and other small household pets). We have been in existence since 1931 taking in many animals that would otherwise remain homeless or worse. Owing to the current economic downturnm, our shelter is in a dire financial crisis facing closure in the near future. We receive no govt funding
and rely solely on public donations. I am appealing to all bloggers and pet lovers to help us in our time of need. I need help getting the word out. (Not an experienced blogger) Our website is www.elmsfordanimalshelter.com.
Please view our site and make a donation of any amount if you can. ord to. Also, and just as important, please get the word out that we are in need of assistance. Thanks in advance.
A fellow animal lover in New York.
To anonymous in NY. After seeing your note I went and contributed to the Elmsford Animal Shelter. I sometimes drive pass Elmsford and I never knew there was such a fine shelter there. Bless you for the work you do. Rita
