"Oh Waiter..."

The Boys (after finishing their breakfast): "But we're still hungry. Please put more food in the bowl."
Mom: "No way kiddos. Thanks to your loyal blog readers I now know that I should be reading the back of the kitty chow bag for portion size, and let me tell you, you boys eat way too much. No more food this morning."

Albert: "But why would they say such mean things? Do they want us to STARVE?"

Elvis: "Can't you see that our bowls are empty..."

Elvis: "...and we are so cute. Don't you love us anymore?"
Mom: (sigh) You won't starve, yes I love you and you're not eating again until dinner. Now, go play."

Albert: (mocking mom's voice) "No more food, go play." Well I hope she didn't like this chair. I'm about to play with it's innards. scratch...claw...rip

Ants in His Pants

What on earth could tucker a cat out so completely before 1 in the afternoon? Well, let's see.

It helps that Albert Livermore Knight completely lost his fuzzy little mind this morning.

He was wound up when we woke up, and after a leisurely brunch with a friend, I get home to a psycho-kitty freak out between him and the blinds. Then...

After he got kicked off the couch(not literally) for the ba-zillionth time, he moved on to Elvis. Though larger and quicker, even Elvis could not keep up with Albert and the wild hair he had you know where.

In the picture above, it looks like he's settled down. Please notice the spot on the LEATHER chair directly under his tail, where he took a flying leap at the stool FROM ACROSS THE ROOM, and missed and left that lovely little scratch. Brat.

He then moved on to my new pair of sandals. Thankfully he didn't gnaw them to pieces like he does with the toilet paper and kleenex. He did however, try to cram his entire size 8 1/2 body into my size 7 1/2 shoe. This cat is exhausting and now, thankfully, exhausted. Hence the complete pass outed-ness in the first picture. Such antics from such a cute little stinker.
Happy Saturday people. I hope it's as entertaining as mine.
P.S. Thank you everyone for the get well thoughts. Feeling 100% better today.

You're in big trouble mister!

Mom: What's that around your mouth? Is that wine? Were you in mommy's wine?
Let me smell your breath. ARE YOU DRUNK?

Elvis: (rolls eyes) Mom, I'm not old enough to drink. Obvioulsy I am growing a manly cat-stache. I hear the ladies love a little facial hair, and boy do I love the ladies.
Mom: Umm, your entire face is covered in fur. What's the point?
Elvis: (sighs) You wouldn't understand.

Growing Pains

It just blows my mind how big Albert and Elvis are getting. They are jumping and playing and getting stronger every day. They are also able to get into things they shouldn't. Nothing poisonous, but still...

My biggest worry right now is the countertop in the kitchen. Generally I can leave things up there I don't want them to destroy or swat into some cranny I can't fit my hand into. (Big sigh here, guys) This morning I woke up to Al in the sink doing his best dishwasher impersonation. I did some frantic hand waving and a lot of "no kitty, no's" but in the end realized that they are curious, growing kitties. If I don't want my earphones chewed into four separate pieces or ramdom earrings floating in the toilet, I need to be more careful with the things I leave out in the open. Duh! Lesson learned.

P.S. Even with all their toddler antics, they are still the most cuddly twosome ever.
