It just blows my mind how big Albert and Elvis are getting. They are jumping and playing and getting stronger every day. They are also able to get into things they shouldn't. Nothing poisonous, but still...

My biggest worry right now is the countertop in the kitchen. Generally I can leave things up there I don't want them to destroy or swat into some cranny I can't fit my hand into. (Big sigh here, guys) This morning I woke up to Al in the sink doing his best dishwasher impersonation. I did some frantic hand waving and a lot of "no kitty, no's" but in the end realized that they are curious, growing kitties. If I don't want my earphones chewed into four separate pieces or ramdom earrings floating in the toilet, I need to be more careful with the things I leave out in the open. Duh! Lesson learned.
P.S. Even with all their toddler antics, they are still the most cuddly twosome ever.

Albert you lovely kitty you...
I bet he has a lovely purr and soft fur right Cori?
Aww...they both do!
Wow, they are getting big...Elvis looks quite lanky in the first picture...sweet little babies growing up so fast :)
Our Mishka is the only one of our three that's fascinated by the counter tops (and top of kitchen cabinets)...there's a lot of "No Mishka, Down, Down!" going on in our house...he jumps down immediately, only to climb back up when I'm not looking :) Gotta love kitties :)
My little girl just learned how to get on the counters Wednesday while I was at work. I came home to quite a mess. Her favorite thing is the plastic brillo pad that we have by the sink. She brought it to me in bed on Tursday morning and then again while I was sitting on the couch. We were gone for the weekend, but I have already recieved news that she knocked over a vase of flowers today.
Her other favorite way to torment me is by running out of the apartment when either one of us is leaving for work.
The things our little ones do to drive us crazy!
OMG Justine, Albert is a door runner too. Whenever I leave to go to the trash chute, Al is out the door before I can blink. Thankfully it's an enclosed hallway so there is nowhere for him to run to. Still, he's fast.
Sadly our hallway isn't enclosed. I'm always afraid she's going to run down the stairs and then straight outside from there. Luckily she's only run up the stairs...
She's also learned to mute my alarm clock, which made for an interesting morning... I don't think I could possibly handle two...
As for the countertop - go get massive numbers of clear plastic bins to stick your items in. This way, they can stay on the countertop(for now), get batted OFF the countertop by teen age terrorist kittens and not get eaten to bits. Plus a handy water pistol squirted in boy directions will help.
OH yes, the old counter trick. My Lilliane learned it while we were away too (the babysitter wasn't there full-time). I tried the sticky-tape routine, but all it did was stick our plates down. Lilli stepped over it. The water spritzer still works, though. Somtimes. Occasionally. If I'm in there. And watching. {sigh}
