Snow Day!

Snow covered everything last night while we slept.

Elvis has taken up his position on the window sill. Every now and again I hear his paws tapping on the glass, snowflake catching.

Albert and I, the smart ones, are cuddled up in bed watching the snow fall under layers and layers of sheets and blankets. The perfect beginning to a perfectly snowy day.

Oh! I am so jealous! I trekked through sleet and snow to get to work this morning and was the 5th person to arrive on the 17th floor. And I was an hour late...I believe there are possibly 7 people here now (I would say a good 40+ people work on this floor).

I think I might trek up the hill for coffee. That of course means strapping a pillow to my bum for the slipping, falling and skidding that is sure to come. Gan, I hope you don't get stuck at work while the rest of Seattle is stuck at home.

Cori, you and Albert have the right idea, snuggling in bed under blankets and watching the snow...I'm sure Elvis will catch on quite quickly that it's much better to be under the blankets than by the cold window sill :)

Enjoy your snow day :)

I'm starting to feel like such a sucker that I came to work...you ever make it up the hill cori? hmmm. I hope the buses are still running. The snow is really pretty downtown though!

Oh, I LOVE snow days! We're in for quite a run here, and there is almost NOTHING I like better than curling up on the couch with knitting, cat, book and cup o' tea. Well...it's a little better with TWO cats. There are a lot of Grumblers when it snows but I really love it, the more the merrier! OH! My verification word describes a cozy little nest with kitties: "ningloo"!! :-)
