What a night!

Worst snow storm in 30 years here in Seattle.

Did I mention that I was already nervous about flying with the boys? Really didn't need the added stress of icy roads on the way to the airport. Blech.

I wonder how SeaTac is handling flights? I haven't checked recently.

Just so you know, in Edmonton, where I live and it looks like this every day, people all over the place are feeling sorry for you guys. This happens to us every year but we know it's coming so we're well-prepared. We also know that you guys don't have the infrastructure to handle that much snow. So, in short, BUMMER.

Whoa, Hey!!! You survived the blizzard! I meant to tease you about it last night, but my comments were eaten. At least this morning the blizzard warning for your area has been canceled. Still need to be careful on the roads, flurries and possibility of freezing rain off and on. Do drivers in your area act like they've never been around snow and ice each time it hits the ground?

The boys are growing so fast. It's hard work being kittens. Are they bored with snow now? I live in an older part of Kansas City and I love the odd quiet that happens with the snow muffling the noise of traffic. If you are flying today the weather looked mostly quiet on the Storm Prediction Center site.

The snow is crazy. i moved here last year in October from Texas, and nothing like this ever happened.
Most surprising is how many people are on the road driving. I was tempted to get in my car to drive to the store but figered it was safer for everyone out there(given I have no idea how to drive in the snow)if I walked.
Deodand, I can't imaginge dealing with this every year. You're a rock star.
I will potentially be leaving Seattle tomorrow at midnight. Hopefully all goes well.

Ah, Cori - the weather *starts* there, comes over the mountains, collects strength over the Grat Plains - and finally gets here to Wisconsin! We're on Phase II of a four-phase Snowstorm....dare I say, I love it? I'm with Deodand; we have it all winter too, though our last few have been feeble. Last year we had a good winter, this year is already better. You don't know "cozy" until you've watched a heavy snowfall over the rim of your teacup with knitting in one hand and a kitty in the other! (That being said, though, we ARE prepared for it, DO know how to negotiate through it, &c.)

I've lived in Washington 90% of my life (on both sides) and have never seen anything this in western WA.

Cori - have a safe and pleasant trip. I'll be thinking safe thoughts for you and the boys :)

Thanks for all of the well wishes!

Cori, I don't mean to rain on your parade but most flights have been cancelled. Call the airlines before you leave, please!

I have lived here all my life (30 + years) this storm isn't certainly the worst. It is just lingering which is the worst. I love the snow. Be safe and have a wonderful holiday. As my Dad would say "Scuff the kittens for me!"
