Two Pills Are Better Than Four

Elvis Update: Had a check up with the vet on Saturday and Elvis is now 100% better. Can I say that again? 100% BETTER! He is officially off of his antibiotic and instead of 4 Prednisone pills a day, he is down to 2. Obviously I see him doing better every day, but to hear the vet say so is just super. There is still no real diagnosis other than he had some weird auto-immune spell. Hopefully we can wean him off of the steriods and he will be ok. If not, well now I know the signs and I can prevent him from getting to such a drastic place.

The boys and I spent the weekend getting ready for Halloween. That was fun. Expect to see Albert in his finest attire/costumery(Elvis gets a pass this year ;)) and an awesome flashback to their IBKC days. I love this time of year and I'm glad I have these two little furballs to share it with. And you guys too!

So, is that orchid still in tact? My cat seems to leave mine alone...I love that top photo...often wonder if I had two cats whether they would be inseparable.

More wonderful news! So happy to hear Elvis is getting better and both of you have less stress on pill taking.

Wondered about the fate of that orchid too... So is Albert going to be a Vampire this year. Before Elvis was so sick you posted about some "blood letting" and I pondered if Albert was angry about something and taking it out on Elvis. It just wasn't proper to comment about it when he was so very sick. (Pets seem to pick up on our moods and language but we can be so slow to pick up on theirs.) Now, however, maybe a Batcat or Doctor Albert? Kate

DO A GOOGLE SEARCH ON THAT ORCHID!!!! ARE THEY DANGEROUS TO CATS????!!!! I had two cats in ER care at Easter due to them ingesting parts of a lily. Lilies are deadly. Better safe than sorry.

That said, I'm SO glad he is better!!!

Thanks everyone!
Just wanted to let those of you who asked know that the orchid is safe and sound in the bathroom. My friend dropped of the plant as a thank you so I immediately set out to take some photos. Albert, the rascal, is not to be trusted around anything leafy so the lovely orchid has a home in the bathroom and may even make an appearance at my office desk.

And Kate, the boys have always played a little rough, but I'm pretty sure Albert was just picking up on Elvis being weak and taking advantage of it. Brothers or not, I guess that's how the animal kingdom works. That's all stopped now though. Nothing but kisses. :)
Also,if I can swing it, I am determined to somehow dress Albert up as Einstein...I'm not super creative so it might take a little time. LOL

Albert Einstein...I can see it! I'm imagining that picture of him sticking his tongue out...
Yup, put Al in a wig and glasses and you're good to go! (if only it were that simple!)

Elvis!! HURRAH!! You stay well and healthy, little man.

So happy that dear Elvis is 100% better. If the pred is going to be a long term thing, you might look into getting it in liquid form and flavored with tuna (I am not kidding!) A compounding chemist and some of the pet meds by mail places can do this. My Cagney is at the point now where I just need to call out "spoons!" and she comes running to lap up her medicine from a spoon. Better than pills, in both of oour humble opinions!

Sorry = that last comment about pred was from me, Webbthistle. I hit the buttons in the wrong order.
