Cat Den of Inequity

I put the boys favorite blanket on my bed when we first moved in A) because you all thought it would make them feel more at home, B) it was the first room done, and C) to keep them out of the way.

Albert took to the set-up immediately and I never quite had the heart to move the blanket back out to the couch(EVEN THOUGH it made my bedroom look like some kind of Tarzan porn set).

Little Bert has definitely become the king of the house. My bed has become his throne and I dare not enter without first seeking his royal permission. I see him laying there sometimes, staring at me, and it's almost as if he's saying, "You there. Please fetch me my slippers and a nice glass of Courvoisier."

Oh well. Prince Charming or not, what kitty wants, kitty gets.

How about Elvis? Where does he like to hang out now?
If the blanket is too much, you might try folding it half or thirds and laying it across the bottom of the bed. But only if Albert approves.

Is that Albert's tail, or is there a second kitty lying with him? I love that thing. I can see why you're having a hard time moving the blanket. The little guy looks happy, through and through.

Cori, what kind of camera are you using? I like the quality of your pictures. When I want to see one of the boys' faces better, (I'm on a laptop) I zoom in and they stay really sharp.

Albert looks so cute...just like a little stud muffin on his big cat bedspread. He looks like he's really happy in his new home! Your stories of them both are just great.

That tail is unbelievable. It's gorgeous! If only you could train them to dust...

Hey everyone. Another weekend of unpacking. Will it ever end?
To answer a few questions, YES, that is Albert's tail. It seems as if he got all the floof in the family(Lyle excluded ;)Where Elvis is sleek and and not the least bit floofy, Albert is one big fuzz ball.
Barbara B., your first instincts to quarter the blanket at the end of the bed were mine as well. Unfortunately, it ended up on the floor. With kitties inside. Which wouldn't be so bad it those kittens didn't track so much durn litter around the house.
Ducky,I use a Nikon D70 that I got at a camera store I worked in a few years back and I love it. I often think of trading it in for a camera that has a few more bells and whistles but I just can't seem to part with it. It's been nothing but wonderful.
Emmie, I love love love the paint color too. I am thrilled the owner of the building was so open to color. Especially since I painted the breakfast nook Kokopelli teal. :)
As to where in the heck Elvis hangs out, well, he's partial to window sills, in front of the front door, in the bath tub, and next to my gym shoes(don't ask me why). He's a smart independent little boy. He doesn't limit himself to one spot. Albert is a little homebody and likes to be next me or on the bed. So there you have it. Whew.

I, too, giggled at the "Tarzan porn set".

I agree with Barbara.. start folding the blankie down a bit at a time.

I also agree with Emmie that the wall paint is fabulous (my bedroom is the same colour).
