The weather today was not at all conducive to babies first walk. Instead, I got out the Easter decorations and let the boys have some fun. Here's hoping for better weather tomorrow.
You might try putting a few grains of rice or some uncooked lentils into the eggs and sealing them up. My kitties like a little sound with their toys. Also, my two don't go outside. I tried it with a previous cat, and she'd get so upset when I wouldn't take her out she'd run frantically around and then stop and pee on the wall. Not fun.
Oh Barbara, I laughed so hard I cried. The thought of Albert wildly running around until he pees is giggle inducing and horrifying at the same time. I might have to put a little more thought into this. :)
Yes, I guess there are some kitties like going walkies outdoors; for my part, my girls have NEVER been out except the rare car trip to the vet (or when they came home). I know they'll be on leashes but I'd not give them the "taste" for outdoors (May I say, I'm moved by the fact that I've seen two kitties whose trips outside (admittedly, no leashes) saw them over the Rainbow Bridge. HowEVER! They're surely beautiful posing aruond their Easter eggs!
I used to take Noodle out on a leash. When it came time to come back inside, she always threw a major fit. I mean, crazy fit. She would roll like an alligator, and then when I would pick her up, she would hiss and swat. I know she was just being a brat throwing a tantrum because she was being made to come in! I'd laugh and that would just make her more mad. Since we moved, I haven't tried it at the new house. I'm pretty sure it would be the same, and I don't want to scare the neighbors! Plus I have two cats now -- oh boy.
