My boys are spoiled rotten and because of that have a ton of toys they don't use. I had the bright idea to pack these toys and take them to the new place. You know, cause we're moving and all.

Elvis must of thought he would never see these toys again because he put up the biggest fuss. HE DOESN'T even play with the things in the box but because he didn't have them to NOT play with, he freaked.

Albert, on the other hand, couldn't have cared less. He just kind of watched Elvis with this look of total embarrassment, like, "Dude, chill out!"

My threats and finger pointing had no effect on him and in the end...

I just let him stay in the box. No wonder this move is taking so long.

Your descriptions of the boys are so funny!! Albert and Elvis act like human siblings....I suspect that Elvis was just as entranced with the box as he was the toys.
I especially like the last shot of him. That look says it all.

hahahaha! Elvis is such a trip and Albert is the "cool" one. So funny!
Look at those tails! They're so bushy. What cuties!
Well, what else *could* you have done?
Well, of course...you said it perfectly! They don't want to play with the toys, but they don't want the toys to go away...it's kitty logic at its best :)
Maybe he's packing himself to make you don't forget to take him in the move?????
As if!!! Hee!

Cori - I had ::shudder:: a few days of no innerwebs (I shall not speak of the withdrawal - let me just say that the husband has endeared himself yet again). HOWEVER! As a result, I had a few days' worth of the boys to catch up on. I can SEE it -- there must be some genetic connection between ALL stripey tabbies, and Her Holiness the Goddess Bast apparently just dumped all the Mischief she had left over from all the other breeds into those stripes. My Lilliane is just the same. Oh - and I'm inspired! I'm not moving, but it's been a LONG TIME since I peered under the couch and major appliances....... (wow, my verification word is "water"! cool!)
I love the first picture, you caught him nicely in mid-jump.
He's just too cute in the box with his toys. There's something about cats and boxes anyway, but then you put their stuff in the box and the whole world is turned upside down.
Chloe is quite interested in the boxes for our move. There are some packed and stacked in the bedroom, she realized that this has enabled her to jump from the boxes to the top of the dresser, which is where the TV is. Last night she sat right in fron to fthe middle of the screen and I had to get up and make her get down. She also in the last couple of days has managed to put three long scratches in the side of the dresser. She must have miscalculated a jump.
I can just see the kitties packing THEMSELVES for the move. "Don't forget me mommy." As if I could. Certainly the boxes are majical hiding places/jumping of points to where ever they decide to fly too. I have had to play kitty rescuer a couple of times, when a kitten misjudged the distance and got tangled in curtains or caught hanging from a countertop. All I can say is at least this move hasn't been stressful for them. If anything, we'll get to the new place and they will wonder why it isn't as fun as the old one. ;)
