I can't even put into words how sweet this little one has been since returning home. He wasn't really a lap cat before and now I have a hard time sitting down or walking around because he is two steps ahead and mewing to be picked up. If it wasn't so heart-wrenchingly adorable, it would be kind of sad. I get the feeling he thinks I am going to leave again. He got sick the last couple of days at the vet and they contributed it to stress and home sickness. He's better now but I still feel awfully guilty and am not quite sure how to reassure a little baby cat. I am hoping tons of cuddles and kisses will work and if he needs to be next to me wherever I go, well, I'm not complaining. Look at that face. It's just begging to be smooched.

Hes begging to be smooched alright...
Glad hes ok now though!
Bless! I think he's just a little boy who missed his Mum while she was away. Lots of schmoozing should sort him out.
Awwww, I'm guessing that the little snuggler was just confused.
I'm sure that plenty of cuddles will reassure him that even when mom sometimes has to leave, she's always coming back.
Yes, smootching is the best medicine! Cori, I had something like that happen with one of my cats when I had to leave on a business trip. She went from somewhat aloof to a cuddler on my return and never reverted back. Still a great lap cat 14 years later!
Ah, kittens and their infinite personalities!
Oh sweet little Albert...just missing her Mommy and home and all the good stuff...our cats become super-cuddly when we come back from trips too, so I guess they all just need a bit of reassurance and lots of love and cuddles :)
Hugs for little Albert and of course for Elvis as well!
Oh, little boy. He'll be fine with lots of kisses and snuggling. You still did the right thing by him when you decided to leave the boys home. If he's a sensitive little fellow, the trip might have been much more difficult than the stay at the vet's office. Don't forget to breath in the sweet smell of his head and tell him what a sweet baby he is. That's always a good thing, mixed in with the kisses. :)
Oh, can you imagine how upset he would have been had he not had his brother with him???? So glad you adopted both of them!!!
Everybody is home now so all is well.
As for smooching -- square on the lips, I say!!!

Kissie smooches, Albert. Mama loves you and so do we.
Awww, he looks so sad! I was in grad school when I got my cat, so I only really left home to go to class. She's so used to me being at home all the time that she sometimes will cry if she loses track of me in our new house, and I'm sure she cries for a bit when I go to work.
Everything they all said is straight-on! Whenever we come home from anywhere our girls (who are NOT kittens any more) show very serious cases of VELCRO; they're easily reassured, and I take full advantage of the ability to snorgle to my heart's content. (Evangeline, in particular, isn't ordinarily very snuggly, but for a while when we return home she's a real velcro kitty and I just sop it up!)
